Chicken Liver Pâté for Babies

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces chicken livers
  • 2 tablespoons grass-fed butter, ghee, or tallow
  • 1 small garlic clove (optional)
  • ¼ cup water or homemade meat stock
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional for older babies)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken livers and trim away any connective tissue.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken livers and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until fully cooked but still tender.
  4. Add the water or stock and simmer for another minute.
  5. Transfer everything to a blender or food processor.
  6. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.

How to Serve Chicken Liver Pâté to Babies

There are several ways to offer liver pâté depending on your baby’s age and stage.

Try serving it:

  • Mixed into mashed sweet potatoes
  • Stirred into egg yolks
  • Mixed with meat stock
  • Spread on soft cooked vegetables
